If you like a little animal print, candy stripes and splashes of the rainbow then Margate Location House is the place for you.
A few weeks ago Madseventies teamed up with Sacred Hawk. A company that designs pieces inspired by the 60’s to 90’s. Not only do they have fantastic pieces but they throw a good party. From good music, dancers and of course a fabulously dressed crowd.
For someone like me, inspired by the 60’s and 70’s found this opportunity very exciting. So we set off to Margate to shoot new fashion pieces which will be available in January.
From leopard statues to furry couches; we had a lot of fun props and decor to play around with in the shoot.
For the first look I wore a gorgeous velvet dress, paired it up with a skinny neckscarf for a bit more rock and roll feel. I love a bit of velvet; it brings a bit of glam to any outfit!
The second look could have been an outfit from Woodstock Festival. Double denim with embroidered patterns and a pair of jeans with a big slip. What I love about this outfit, you have the choice of wearing it together or pairing it up seperately. For example, the embroidered denim jacket with a pair of black velvet flares and ankle boots to break the double denim if you’d like.
Sparkle bra, suede skirt and the best jacket of all time, A Harley-Davidson jacket. When buying big and bulky pieces I prefer to keep it simple in order to wear it more than once or in a variety of ways BUT make sure you have a few timeless statement pieces, like this jacket! Pair it up with cropped vinyls, glitter socks and strapped sandals to balance masculine with a touch of feminine.
For all you fabulous people out there that loves a bit of lace and crochet. Wearing vintage lace, tucked in with high waisted denim and a fun pair of cat eye glasses. The earrings are also available on their site. Lace And velvet, the two materials that jazz up any outfit AND Crochet dreams. Love this crochet dress paired up with a black body suit. You would think ‘this is for summer’ however crochet can be worn in winter, paired up with a roll neck, stockings and knee high boots for the perfect Twiggy 60’s look.
A cropped jacket and a skirt with a slip, paired up with a rock and roll shirt to break the full-only-floral look and a fun military cap. Super comfortable yet chic.
And onto the last look of day! Complete rock and roll, velvet flared trousers, wrap around blouse and one of my favourite hats of all time; the military cap. And how dreamy is this bathroom?!
